"Epilogue" is a collection of compositions produced during the dissolution of a recent chapter in my life. The collection receives its title in a literal sense. A story is often followed by an epilogue: a commentary or analysis of the story's conclusion. What was felt throughout the process is explained through a series of emotions each individual track aims to embody. The tone shifts from its optimistic beginning to pessimistic as I began to evaluate the situation at hand. My eyes were open enough to recognize a fair declination but continued to open as I evaluated what I had been refuting and repressing. Facing this brought upon the shift in tone. The compositions aim to illustrate a commentary of the story's resolution, as an epilogue would do.
